	Durand was a male Corellian who served as the chairman of the Corellian Council, the ruling body of his homeworld Corellia Corellia Planet , centuries before the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. During a passionate debate about subsector zoning bypass regulations, an angry Councilor named Brecourl Brecourl Character Minor Characters (Cold War era) challenged Durand to a duel in front of the rest of the Council, a duel that Durand won; the incident was famously remembered as the only time someone had been killed on the floor of the Legislature Building.
